This funk/rock chart is very easy, but it doesn't sound that way! It's written in cut time to make it less "intimidating," which makes it easier for you to teach, and easier for your band to learn. The rhythm section will sound solid on this piece, and it really gives them a chance to play with some gusto. This is boogie-woogie that sounds solid and is easy to teach. Altos and trumpets have the melody in unison after the ensemble introduction. The saxes follow in the next chorus with unison trumpet licks in the background and the trombones laying down the very easy "boogie" line.
